INFESTED!

Have you every watched Animal Planet's INFESTED?  It features real-life stories of people plagued by the craziest infestations.  Click here at your own risk, haha!

This past Friday, I was pulling up to my driveway when my kids pointed to the side of our house. There was a swarm of honey bees.  We had NEVER seen so many bees near our house!

I immediately went inside the house and called my husband. Of course by the time he came out, there was only about less than half of what the kids and I had seen.

He looked around and "checked things out" and said he'd "keep and eye out for any more bees."

As the sun set, hubby had some errands to run and left the house.  And what do you think happened as soon as  the kids and I were alone in the house???????

Honey bees started coming into my house from the attic!!!!!!

First, my daughters ran out of their room screaming, "There's a bee in our room!"

They ran into the kitchen, but there was a bee in the kitchen. My son and I ran into the hallway with a can of ant spray (that's all I could find, lol.) We watched the bees passing through a crack in the attic door as I sprayed half a bottle like I was shooting an AK47.

Before you tell me that killing honey bees is illegal, it's NOT if they are in your home! If honey bees invade your house, you have the right to kill if necessary!!!!

I called an exterminator who called himself the "bee expert."  Over the phone, he asked me, "Are the bees friendly or are they attacking?" I started to hyperventilate but managed to ask, "Whyyyyyyyy?"

"Because they could be African killer bees," he answered and added nonchalantly, "Those can kill ya."

Are you kidding me????? As if I wasn't already freaked out enough. He tells me the bees could possibly be African killer bees who could viciously attack us.

Hubby got back before the exterminator had arrived. And of course, hubby only found one live bee in the house. - That's because I had annihilated them and had a collection of dead carcasses as proof!

The exterminator climbed into our attic and unloaded 20 gallons of whatever-the-heck-they-use and killed everything living in there.

P.S. They bees turned out to be honey bees and NOT African killer bees!

Do you have any similar INFESTED stories? Feel free to share. I'd love to hear that I'm NOT ALONE! Plus, it's good to learn some new tactics. Like how to use ant spray like an AK47. Ha!
