Your Next Stop at Blog Tour de Troops!

Welcome to the next stop at the Indie Book Collective--Blog Tour de Troops.

You should be coming from a visit at Terri Long’s blog about a terrific documentary. Your next stop is Judie Gaines.  But wait, don’t leave yet!

What is the number one requested item in care packages for Troops?

BOOKS!

Please leave a comment in order to receive a free e-book plus an e-book for the men and women who safeguard our freedom. Each commenter has the choice of naming a soldier or simply asking that we randomly choose from the list of Troops that have requested e-books.

You already have SAND? Comment anyway and choose a soldier.

I’m not a military spouse but I love and respect military wives dearly. My heart goes out to them for their sacrifice.

One of the ways I showed my support for our troops was to write SAND and to help bring attention to some of the things that our soldiers are going through. SAND is a work of fiction but I do mention very realistic topics such as TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) which has been the signature wound of the war in Afghanistan.

What is SAND about?

Dallas is a Special Forces Lieutenant who is driven by his promise to protect the Colonel’s daughter Abby from an opium drug lord. He is torn between duty and his love for her and when he discovers that the drug lord's charming—murderous son has befriended Abby, there's no limit to how far he is willing to go to protect her.

My goal for SAND was to convey the raw emotions felt by many of our military families so that civilians like me can have a deeper understanding. No one could ever really know unless they’ve lived it. I haven’t lived it so I don't pretend to know. But with all my heart, I thank the military men and women for their great sacrifice.

SAND received a lovely review from Holly Hood. She was so gracious to repost it on her blog for the Tour de Troops, please visit and show her some love!  http://winglessreapers.blogspot.com/

I stumbled upon a very special blog one day and I’d like to share it with you BUT YOU HAVE TO PROMISE NOT to comment or disturb this young lady. All I ask is that she be in your prayers as she is in mine. She doesn’t know me or anything about this Tour de Troops. She’s a young 23 year old war widow with a new born baby. She’s an inspiration to me and I promise you won’t leave her blog without shedding tears! http://whenthreebecomestwo.blogspot.com/

If you do visit the young war widow please save all your comments for this blog!

Remember, every comment gets an e-book for a soldier.

Thank you so much for supporting SAND!
