The New Credit Score of Social Media – The Klout Score

Coffee & Convo discusses the Klout Score.

According to Klout.com, the Klout Score is the measurement of your overall online influence. The scores range from 1 to 100 with higher scores representing a wider and stronger sphere of influence.

How influential are you when it comes to Social Media? Look at your Klout Score.

This score is like a report card of how well you are doing at influencing people on Facebook and Twitter. Are your tweets being retweeted? How fast are they being retweeted? What is the ratio of people you follow to those following you? How many people hit “like” and comment on your posts?

It is very important that you participate in conversations. This helps you build up your Klout Score.

According to Carolyn McCray, author of the #1 Kindle Bestseller... 30 Pieces of Silver, 50 or greater is a good Klout Score.

Brian Meeks, a twitter friend and commenter on Coffee & Convo, who blogs at ExtremelyAverage, was interviewed back in April about his Klout Score. His interviewer also posted opinions from several literary agents and editors regarding Klout Scores. See the entire post here and notice that industry insiders are paying attention to your social media influence.

I checked my Klout Score, I’m at 61.

Did you check your score? Let us know! I would love to hear from you. Also, feel free to ask questions.
